What happens after you place an order on Refurbify
This is a walkthrough of the actual order flow on Refurbify — what the system does at each stage and what you should see on your side. It is a description of the process, not a customer testimonial.
Step 1 — Order placed
You complete checkout and the order is created with an order ID beginning RFB-. The item is reserved against stock at this point, so a single-unit listing goes off the market immediately rather than being sold twice.
Step 2 — Payment verification
Payments are made to Refurbify. The payee appears as Refurbify on the UPI payee line. You submit the UTR reference and a payment screenshot; both are matched against the order before anything ships. A UTR that has already been used on another order is rejected automatically.
During this stage your order status reads Verifying. Nothing is dispatched until payment is confirmed against the bank record.
Step 3 — Final QC and packing
The unit is re-tested after being pulled from stock — the same bench checks it passed at intake — then packed with anti-static wrapping and internal cushioning appropriate to the item. Loose components ship braced; laptops ship with corner protection.
Step 4 — Dispatch and tracking
The order moves to Shipped and a tracking reference is attached. You can follow every stage from the order page or the Track Order screen, and status changes trigger an email to the address on the order.
Step 5 — Delivery and your testing window
On delivery, your 30-day testing window opens. This is the period to run the checks that matter: battery report, sustained load, SMART data, every port, every RAM slot. Do it in the first week, not the fourth.
Step 6 — If something is wrong
You raise a warranty claim from the site with your order ID and evidence of the fault. Claims are assessed against the listing description, and the outcome is a repair, a replacement or a refund depending on what was wrong and what is available.
The reason the claim route exists in writing, rather than as a chat promise, is that a written path is the only kind you can hold anyone to.
The short version
Every stage of a Refurbify order is visible to you: payment verified against the bank record, tracking attached at dispatch, and a written 30-day claim route after delivery.
